Second Annual Fairport Plein Air Event

The Village of Fairport
While visitors stroll the village during the Scarecrow Festival and Oktoberfest, artists from the Finger Lakes region will spend the morning “en plein air” (outdoors) with their paints and canvasses, painting a scene of their choosing in the beautiful Village of Fairport.
In the afternoon, all paintings will be brought to Faircraft Brauhaus for an exhibition and sale. A sneak-peek ticketed event will allow attendees to enjoy a glass of beer, wine or soda and preview the Art. A public viewing and sale of the Art will follow, along with “Best in Show” and “People’s Choice” awards.

Seeking: Art/Design Committee Member
The Fairport Public Arts Committee is seeking a volunteer to fill the open seat for an Art/Design Professional. Eligible individuals include, but are not limited to, public art administrators, artists, architects, landscape architects, art historians and art educators.
FPAC member responsibilities include:
FPAC oversees the public arts process within the Village, updates the Public Art Plan, and makes approvals and recommendations to the Village Board regarding commissions and investments in the Village’s public artwork collection and programs.

Seeking: Art/Design Committee Member
The Fairport Public Arts Committee is seeking a volunteer to fill the open seat for an Art/Design Professional. Eligible individuals include, but are not limited to, public art administrators, artists, architects, landscape architects, art historians and art educators.
FPAC member responsibilities include:
- 2 year term
- attendance of monthly meetings (second Thursday of each month at 7pm)
- participation in select initiatives/programming (ie.duck race sales, art calls, farmers market, art programming, scarecrow festival, and/or others)
FPAC oversees the public arts process within the Village, updates the Public Art Plan, and makes approvals and recommendations to the Village Board regarding commissions and investments in the Village’s public artwork collection and programs.
